NAHAD is an endorser of PPIF (the Product & Price Information Format). The PPIF was created in 1998 by the Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA) and the Bearing Specialists Association (BSA) to develop a standardized, electronic format for transmission of manufacturer product and price updates to distributors. PPIF is a single-format, single program system that can be easily be installed and used by manufacturers, distributors, and OEMs. The ASCII format eliminates the need for significant software expenditures by users and can be transmitted via mail, e-mail, or the Internet.
