Distributor & HSI Memberships
NAHAD Distributor Memberships and Hose Safety Institute Memberships are offered to eligible companies and their branch locations, with the following options available:
NAHAD Distributor Membership
NAHAD members commit to compliance with the NAHAD Code of Business Conduct, promoting high professional business and product standards and ethical conduct in dealing with customers, suppliers and competitors.
NAHAD Distributor membership is based on your company’s total number of locations, including independently acquired brands. Distributor Member companies are highly encouraged to include each of their locations, and the employees at those locations, as NAHAD Members.
Distributor Membership Requirements:
- Must be a distributor engaged in the inventory and distribution of flexible hose products, couplings, clamps, accessories and/or industrial rubber products (“Hose Products”).
- Must maintain, on average, at least US$50,000 worth of Hose Products in inventory.
- Must have annual sales of at least US$250,000 of Hose Products.
- Must provide 3 references. References must be current, active NAHAD Manufacturer members.
- Must provide percentage of sales sold through Distributors and percentage of sales sold to End-Users.
- US and Canadian based companies must maintain Product Liability Insurance of at least US$2 million.
HSI Designation
Distributor Member locations are highly encouraged to gain the many benefits of the Hose Safety Institute Designation.
Manufacturer & Associate Memberships
NAHAD Manufacturer and Associate Memberships are offered to eligible companies and their branch locations, with the following options available:
NAHAD Manufacturer Membership
Manufacturer Membership Requirements:
- Must have been in business for 12 or more of the proceeding consecutive months, primarily engaged in either:
- the manufacturing of flexible hose products, couplings, clamps, accessories or industrial rubber products (“Hose Products”), of which more than 51% are marketed through authorized distributors.
- the manufacturing of hoserelated mechanical equipment and/or hose fabrication systems, of which more than 51% are marketed to and/or through authorized distributors.
- Must provide 3 references. References must be current, active NAHAD Distributor members.
- Must provide percentage of sales sold through Distributors and percentage of sales sold to End-Users.
- US and Canadian based companies must maintain Product Liability Insurance of at least US$2 million.
Associate Membership
A business entity having been in business for 12 or more of the proceeding consecutive months, engaged in the purchase and stocking of flexible hose products, couplings, clamps, accessories and/or industrial rubber products (“Hose Products”) for sale exclusively through distributors.
Applicant must provide 3 references. References must be current, active NAHAD members.
Manufacturer Representative & Affiliate Memberships
NAHAD Distributor Memberships and Hose Safety Institute Memberships are offered to eligible companies and their branch locations, with the following options available:
NAHAD Manufacturer Representative and Affiliate Memberships
A business entity having been in business for 12 or more of the proceeding consecutive months, engaged in the business of representing manufacturers of flexible hose products, couplings, clamps, accessories or industrial rubber products
Applicants are committed to the marketing of these products primarily through distributors, and sponsored by two (2) NAHAD Manufacturer Members and two (2) NAHAD Distributor Members, who shall each certify that the applicant possesses the highest qualities of professionalism, integrity and industry knowledge.
Applicant must provide 3 references. References must be current, active NAHAD members.
Affiliate Member (NonVoting) Info
An established business entity engaged in the business of providing products and/or services to the members of the Association, and whose products and/or services are marketed to and/or through distributors.
Affiliate members shall not be engaged in the production or sale of products and/or services which are handled in the ordinary course of business conducted by Distributor, Manufacturer, Associate or Manufacturer Representative members
Applicant must provide 3 references. References must be current, active NAHAD members.
