Leadership Exploration and Development

NAHAD is pleased to announce the launch of LEAD, our brand new leadership program, beginning in 2026.

This program includes three tracks:

1. Apprentice

Linking Your Personality Profile to Becoming a Successful Leader

2. Technician

Up Your Communication Game

3. Master

Transformative Leadership: Vision, Influence, Strategy, and Change

Who should participate?

New or potential managers from all areas within the organization including sales, production, human resources, quality improvement, marketing, and purchasing.

At least two years in the industry is recommended.

Intended Outcomes

While each level will have its unique set of outcomes, overall, the program is designed to ensure program participants will:

  • Understand their unique behavioral style and appropriately leverage it to create their own leadership style.
  • Practice more effective channels of verbal, non-verbal, and written communication.
  • Boost performance and promote change in their teams and their company.

Track Dates:

Apprentice Technician Master
February 2026 -May 2026 September 2027 -January 2028 February 2028 -  May 2028

Included in Apprentice Track Fee

  • Veteran industry mentor, with monthly virtual meetings and in-person at convention
  • Monthly virtual workshops with DiSC test and workbook with professional facilitator
  • Annual Convention registration with dedicated all day workshop with professional facilitator

What is DiSC? 

DiSC stands for the four main personality profiles ‎described in the DiSC model: Dominance, influence, Steadiness and ‎Conscientiousness.  The test results generate a personalized profile where the ‎respondents’ unique behavioral style, strategies for engaging with others, their ‎needs, and preferred environment our outlined.‎  The workshop facilitator will go through the results extensively requiring full and active participation from the group.
