Josh Bone
Josh attended McMaster University where he obtained a degree in Chemical Engineering. He has spent the last five years at Kuriyama Canada in hose and tubing product development and quality control. He has worked on products and applications for a variety of industries ranging from Food and Beverage to Mining and has a deep understanding of regulatory requirements.

Andrew Christmas
Andrew Christmas is a seasoned professional specializing in hose and coupling solutions. With a career spanning over two decades, Andrew brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role as Business Development Manager at McGill Hose & Coupling. Andrew’s journey in the hose industry began in 2008, and since then, he has been dedicated to mastering the nuances of this specialized field. Prior to his focus on hoses, Andrew immersed himself in industrial distribution, starting his journey in 1998. Andrew is actively involved in promoting safety standards within the industry. As the Chair of the Hose Safety Committee for NAHAD, he is committed to ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality in hose fabrication and distribution. Outside of work, Andrew is a devoted father to three wonderful children, ages 17, 14, and 12. He finds joy in spending quality time with his family, at the racetrack or cheering on his kids at their various activities.

Rick Clapie, Jr.Rick currently serves GHX as a Value stream manager over the hose and fittings group, the gasket group and the distribution group. He has been with GHX for 29 years working in various roles and has been in distribution for 37 years. Rick continually works with his teams to insure a quality product that is safe in the application. |
Vic Coleman
Vic Coleman has been with the Kuriyama of America team since 2017, serving as a Hydraulic Product Sales Specialist in the Great Lakes and Northeast regions. Known as the ‘Hose Coach’, Vic was promoted to Kuriyama Corporate Training Manager in early 2022, where he oversees the complete internal and external delivery of the newly redesigned, Kuriyama Academy. Vic and the Kuriyama Training Department develop and promote hose safety, career professionalism, and assembly standards within an ever-changing industrial and hydraulic hose industry. Prior to coming to Kuriyama, Vic began his hose career in 1990 while working in hose distribution in the Youngstown, OH & Pittsburgh, PA markets.

Derek DeLos Santos
Derek’s experience is in the Oil & Gas industry, both upstream and downstream and leads the Mobile Hose Testing organization. Testing protocols not only ensure compliance with current safety standards but also enhance operational efficiency and hose longevity. The presentation includes a firsthand demonstration, offering a practical and up-close look at effective hose testing techniques directly on-site.

Dr. Vahid Ebadat
Vahid Ebadat Ph.D., M.Inst.P, MIET, C.Phys. is CEO of Stonehouse Process Safety, Inc. He has worked extensively as a process safety consultant for the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, paper/wood, and other process industries globally for over 30 years. Dr. Ebadat has published many technical articles and papers and is a regular speaker on process safety topics, including dust explosion, static electricity, gas & vapor flammability, and thermal decomposition/self-heating hazard assessment and control. Dr. Ebadat is a member of NFPA 77, NFPA 91, NFPA 652, NFPA 654, and NFPA 655 Technical Committees.

Richard Kirtley
Richard Kirtley is a 31-year veteran of P T Coupling. He is PT’s National Sales Manager. In this capacity, he manages PT’s Sales Team across the country, and also our International Sales efforts. He is responsible for managing our Distributor Channel Partner relationships as well. In this capacity, Richard has been active with PT’s product offering, and making certain that our application, and market opportunities are well connected. He is a fountain of knowledge relating to the Industrial Hose industry, and best practices for supplying problem-solving solutions to the ultimate End User of those products. During his 31 years, Richard has participated in numerous End User Presentations and Training opportunities, Distributor Channel Partner Training Sessions, and has provided content for company Marketing and application materials in addition to industry publications.

Brent Lilly
Brent Lilly is a 41-year veteran of the Fluid Power & Conveyance, Hose/Accessories, Motion Control, and Power Transmission segments within the Industrial Marketplace. During that time, he has worked for industry leaders such as: The Gates Corporation, Titan Hose, Parker Hannifin, HBD/Thermoid, and PT Coupling. Currently Brent is PT’s Vice President- Sales & Marketing, in that capacity he manages all employees and activities for their Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service Teams. In addition, he has served a 4-year term on the NAHAD Board of Directors. Over the course of his career Brent has participated as a Trainer, Presenter, and Panelist for Conferences, Training Sessions, and Workshops. He has also authored several articles featured in industry publications, covering a variety of topics in his areas of expertise.

Wade Lowe
Wade Lowe is the Director of Fluid Conveyance at Hydraquip, Inc., a role he has held since March 2024. Wade brings over 40 years of experience in the Fluid Power industry. Prior to his current role, Wade spent 24 years as a Regional Manager at Hydraquip, specializing in Hydraulic and Pneumatic System Design, Project Management, and Business Development. Before joining Hydraquip, Wade dedicated 16 years to Fluid Conveyance with other distributors, establishing regional Hose and Coupling programs for three well-respected fluid power companies. Wade is a Certified Fluid Power Hydraulic Specialist and has served as the Employee Elect to the Employee-Owned Holdings, Inc. Board of Directors (Hydraquip’s parent company). Wade also currently serves on the International Fluid Power Society Board of Directors.

Jennifer Mahoney
Originally from Houston, Texas and now lives in Houma, LA. After working for an industrial distributor, Jennifer started with Dixon in January 2016 as a Territory Manager. Currently she serves as a Chemical Market Specialist in chemical related markets with a focus on Dixon’s “On-Site” Safety Training program.

Zeke Meltzer
Zeke has been in the hydraulic hose and fittings business since July 1977. He started out working in distribution and helped start a Houston area distributor in 1984. In 1986, Zeke moved to manufacturing managing the fluid power division of Pirelli, started and managed RYCO in the Americas for 14 years and in 2015 he joined Texcel to develop and manage the Hydraulics division.

Tim O’Neill
Tim joined Kuriyama in 2007 as their Tigerflex Product Manager, where he was a member of the development team for the Voltbusterä Material Handling Hose, a Chemical Processing Magazine 2013 Vaaler Award Winner. He currently serves as Kuriyama’s Marketing Manager, where he helps guide developmental and promotional strategies for several of Kuriyama’s hose and coupling product lines. Tim serves on the 3-A Sanitary Standards working group for valves and fittings, and recently became a member of the NAHAD Hose Safety Institute Committee. Prior to his time at Kuriyama Tim worked in marketing for consumer products companies such as Salton, Inc. and Fiskars Brands.

The Southeastern Regional Manager for the Flexitallic Group with 16 years of gasket experience. Steve focuses on helping end users solve complicated sealing problems through engineered gasket solutions for various industries. He has a proven record of bringing new gasket technology to the market and helping seal the most challenging applications within the industry.

Roy Torres
GHX Industrial, LLC (a SunSource company) is a highly recognized value-add distributor and fabricator of industrial gaskets and hoses, with fabrication and warehouses throughout the United States. The GHX corporate office and the Houston branch are both located at GHX’s NE Houston campus. Roy Torres is GHX’s Vice President, Materials Manager and has been with the company since 2002. He previously worked in the Automotive Aftermarket before joining GHX. Roy is currently serving on the NAHAD board.

Rob Williams
Alliance Hose & Rubber Co., established in Chicago in 1932 during the Great Depression, has been a cornerstone of the Chicago market, serving the hose needs of the food and beverage, chemical, contractor supply, large bore dewatering, and equipment manufacturing industries. Now located in Elmhurst, IL, the company operates out of a 50,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility. Rob Williams has over 30 years of experience in industrial sales, 22 of which have been with Alliance Hose. Throughout his career, he has covered a diverse hose market, initially focusing on the Midwest and now extending his expertise coast to coast. His primary areas of concentration include the food, beverage, chemical, and agricultural industries.For the past 13 years, Rob has been committed to providing safety solutions. He has shared his industry-specific knowledge with end users worldwide through webinars, podcasts, classroom training, and conference speaking engagements. Rob is actively involved in industry organizations, serving on the NAHAD HSI and Course Building Committees. Additionally, he is a current committee member of various food and beverage guilds and safety boards, contributing to the advancement and safety of these sectors.
